Help me keep up to date.
It’s impossible to keep fully up to date on all the waterfalls in North Carolina, but I can certainly do a better job of it with your help. Please use the Contact page to let me know about any changes for the waterfalls, or if you have new information of any kind. Thank you very much for your help!
Important note about Hurricane Helene.
Tropical Storm Helene, having been downgraded from a hurricane, roared through western North Carolina on September 26, 2024, causing unfathomable damage. I collected the info for many of the waterfall listings on this site before Helene hit, and I will never be able to revisit all the waterfalls that may have been affected. You should always anticipate the field experience to be different from what you read, but this is especially true after Helene. Be prepared to turn around if conditions warrant. And if the situation is different from what you read here, please let me know using the Contact page.
